Gossip site: Aiken to be a father

closeIt's not from the most reliable source in the world, but word going around the blogosphere is that Clay Aiken is going to be a father.
According to the celebrity-gossip site tmz.com, the Raleigh star of "American Idol" and "Spamalot" has artificially inseminated a woman identified as his best friend, 50-year-old Jaymes Foster. The report cites August as due date. It also says that Aiken "will have an active role in raising the child."
The report identifies no sources. Calls to Aiken's representatives have yet to be returned.
