What do Beach Vacations Mean to You?

I thought I would do something a little different this week as I slowly get back to reality in Raleigh this week.
I spent last week at Topsail Beach with my husband’s family. The week there goes by so quickly. I swear it feels as if you arrive one minute and then leave a few hours later. Truth be told, there were actually six nights in between our arriving and leaving, but it merely felt like hours.
I’ve compiled a few beach thoughts and I would love it if you would share some of your own in the comments.
Beach vacations mean…
Fried shrimp and hushpuppies
Boiled shrimp and fresh corn
Red splotches where you missed applying sunscreen
Lots of laughter
A nice cold drink
Hot sand on your feet
Family putt-putt competitions
Ice cream cones melting more quickly than you can eat them
Digging holes in the sand
In North Carolina, we are so fortunate to have our coastline close. Tell us what you adore about family beach vacations. I’m sure you can add to my list.
