Downtown Raleigh’s fashion scene recently gained a new member. Voda Boutique opened in June on Tucker Street, and the shop holds its official grand opening celebration 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Aug. 12.
Voda carries on-trend women’s clothing, shoes and accessories at affordable price points (prices range from $10-$350) from up-and-coming brands such as Michael Lauren and August The Label, as well as local designers like PepperTrain Jewelry. Owner Kayla Brewer says the store aims to get involved in the local community as much as possible through the brands it carries, community events such as First Friday and even giving back to area nonprofits.
During the celebration, Voda will host a trunk show of new pieces from PepperTrain, as well as a braid bar by Parlor Blow Dry from 2 to 6 p.m. Shoppers also can enjoy drinks, snacks and a photo booth.
