Certain Things boutique in Raleigh’s Cameron Village celebrates a milestone Thursday – its 20th year in business.
The women’s boutique will mark the occasion with a celebration from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. that includes discounts, gifts with purchase and refreshments throughout the day.
For owners Lu and Doug Harris, the celebration is just a small way to say thank you to the customers who have helped make their business successful for the past two decades.
“Doug and I feel blessed that it’s been a growing friendship with our customers,” said Lu Harris.
Local style bloggers Lauren Steele of LC Steele and Amy Loochtan of Coffee Beans and Bobby Pins will host a Margaux pop-up shop Thursday at the J. McLoughlin boutique in Chapel Hill’s Meadowmont Village. Shoppers can check out the latest styles of made-to-measure ballerina flats from the brand from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., followed by a cocktail reception with the bloggers from 6 to 8 p.m. During the event, 15 percent of Margaux sales will benefit the charity Healing Waters. Urban Vintage Market
The Urban Vintage Market returns to downtown Raleigh this weekend. Held at City Market’s Market Hall, the event features vintage and new clothing, accessories, housewares and more from local vendors such as Patina South, The Brown Eyed Suzy, Re-Created and Gypsy Jule.

StyleFinder Boutique aims to help women solve the age-old problem of finding great-fitting pants during their Perfect Pant Party this weekend. Friday and Saturday, stylists will help attendees find pants that fit and flatter their bodies. Wine and cheese will be served after 3 p.m. Friday and breakfast nibbles will be served 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday.
