The Carrboro Farmers' Market is holding The People's Peppers event on Sept. 20 and they want your pepper recipes.

Cookbook author Sheri Castle will select the three best recipes and prepare samples at the market. Shoppers will be able to vote for their favorite, and the recipe author will win a prize. All the recipes submitted will be collected in a limited-edition cookbook.

Recipes must be submitted by Wednesday. Recipes must be original, include the author's name, be submitted as a Word document and "bonus points for recipes with lots of market ingredients."

Recipes can be sent to carrboromarketassistant@gmail.com with "people's peppers recipe" in the subject line.
