On Oct. 5, Raleigh chef Scott Crawford, formerly of The Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary, is cooking up an all-vegetable family-style feast to benefit Raleigh City Farm.
The dinner will be held outside at the urban farm at 800 N. Blount St., Raleigh. Beverages are being provided by Wine Authorities and Fullsteam brewery.
For $200, diners get the VIP experience, including a farm tour, a private reception with cocktails and appetizers and a chance to meet Crawford, who is opening Standard Foods, a restaurant and grocery store next door to the farm later this year. Or individuals can pay $125 to enjoy the dinner.
A live auction also will be held to benefit the farm. Items include a dinner for four cooked by Crawford, a wine cellar experience for 10 people and more.
