Drew Moore, owner of Venable Rotisserie Bistro in Carrboro, will open B-Side Lounge tonight next door to his restaurant in Carr Mill Mall. The two restaurants will share a kitchen, but B-Side will focus on small plates, including a varied assortment of vegetarian and vegan options. Highlights of the opening menu include Indian curried squash and chickpeas with grilled naan, duck terrine with pistachios and cranberries, Korean barbecued tofu with kimchi and scallion pancakes, and a 64-degree egg over wild mushroom ragout.
The bar will serve cocktails and four wines on tap. A rotating selection of draft beers gets off to a heady start with the likes of Foothills Seeing Double IPA and Bed of Nails Brown, an English style brown ale from Hi-Wire Brewing in Asheville.
