Durham’s Watts Grocery is hosting a five-course dinner on Nov. 20 spotlighting everyone’s favorite ingredient: bacon.

Here is the menu: a bacon sampler with housemade bacon, Johnston County country ham bacon and Nueske’s bacon served with grilled bread, onion jam and pickles; beer-braised pork belly over grits; North Carolina flounder, little neck clams and bacon stew; braised bacon over Sea Island pea hoppin’ john topped with smoked apples; and for dessert, apple raisin croustade with bacon caramel and creme fraiche ice cream.

The meal comes with wine pairings chose by the folks at Hope Valley Bottle Shop.

The meal costs $55 per person. For a reservation, call 919-416-5040.
