Learn how to cook Turkish food

The Turkish Houses in Cary and Chapel Hill have several upcoming cooking classes:

• 4-6 p.m. Sunday, The Chapel Hill house is offering a class with this menu: yogurt soup, zucchini casserole, spinach and cheese filled pastry, cheese rolls in olive oil and meringues. Cost: $25.
• 3-5 p.m. March 23; The Cary house is offering a class for children, ages 5-15; Menu: chick peas in tomato sauce, white rice, lentil kofte and chocolate croissant. Cost: $10.
• 5:30-7:30 p.m. April 8; A meze class is being offered at the Cary house: Menu: sesame rounds, poached eggs in yogurt sauce, tabbouleh, hummus, feta cheese balls in olive oil and semolina cake with syrup. Cost: $25.

The classes are organized by the American Turkish Association of North Carolina. The Chapel Hill location is at 743 E. Franklin St. The Cary location is at 303 E. Durham Road, Suite F, Cary. To RSVP, send an email to Turkishcookingclass@yahoo.com or call 919-219-2516.
