The Autism Society of NC is holding its Dine4Autism event on April 29.

Participating restaurants throughout the Triangle will donate up to 15 percent of their total day’s sales to support the society. Participating restaurants include Doherty’s Pub and West Park Tavern, both in Cary, and Milton’s Pizza and Pasta and Il Bacio Italian Grill and Pizza, both in Wake Forest and Tyler’s Taproom locations in Apex, Carrboro, Raleigh and Durham.

A complete list of participating restaurants can be found at Dine4Autism.com.

The society notes in its press release that one in 68 children in North Carolina are diagnosed with autism. However, the society points out that “insurance coverage for autism is not required in North Carolina and thousands of families are on waiting lists for services.” Info: autismsociety-nc.org.
