OnlyBurger to open second location in Durham

The Durham burger joint will be next door to Ed Mitchell’s ‘Que restaurant in the American Tobacco complex.

OnlyBurger, the food truck whose humanely raised, locally butchered burgers proved so popular that owner Brian Bottger opened a brick-and-mortar restaurant in 2010, is growing again. Bottger plans to fire up the grill at the new location in August in the new Diamond View III Building adjacent to the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

The food menu will be identical to the one at the original location, though Bottger plans to expand the selection of liquid refreshments to include old-fashioned milkshakes and a rotating selection of draft beers.

The OnlyBurger sequel (359-125 Blackwell St.; onlyburger.com) will practically be a next door neighbor to Ed Mitchell’s ‘Que, whose highly anticipated - and repeatedly delayed - opening is now looking pretty solid for the weekend of May 23. Unlike ‘Que, OnlyBurger won’t overlook the ballpark. But it will feature a large patio, affording prime people-watching opportunities in the midst of the action at the trendy American Tobacco complex.
