Michael Pollan speaking Friday night at N.C. State University

Tickets are still available for Friday night’s event featuring Michael Pollan, author of the best-selling “The Omnivore's Dilemma,” at N.C. State University.

Pollan will be speaking at 7:30 p.m. Friday about his latest book, “Cooked: A Natural History of Transformation.” The event will be at the Hunt Library Auditorium and is being co-sponsored by Raleigh's Quail Ridge Books & Music and N.C. State University’s Friends of the Library.

Here is how to get tickets: You can get one free ticket by buying “Cooked,” in paperback or hardcover, at Quail Ridge. With the purchase of a book and ticket combination, one can buy up to four additional tickets for $5 each. No tickets are available without the purchase of the book.
