Acorn Kitchen, a Raleigh pop-up dinner organizer, is partnering with La Farm Bakery and other food artisans to do a pre-Bastille Day pop-up picnic event.

The picnic is 6-8 p.m. Sunday at an as-yet-undisclosed location. The event also will include a book signing with La Farm baker Lionel Vatinet, who wrote a cookbok, “A Passion for Bread.”

Here’s how it works: diners buy tickets online for $35 each, which entitles the diner to a picnic basket for one with breads, cheeses, meats and other items. (The events other partners include Bella Bean Organics and Chapel Hill Creamery.) Diners bring a blanket and a beverage of their choice. Then two hours before the event, diners will receive an email sharing the location of the picnic. Orders must be placed by July 10.
