Raleigh’s City Market is getting a new casual sushi restaurant, thanks to some experienced Triangle restaurateurs.
City Market Sushi is expected to open the first week of December, said one of the owners, Shawn Chang in a phone interview Friday. Chang is opening the 2,000-square-feet restaurant with his older brother, Jim Chang, and business partner, Don Yoo. Change said he previously owned Sushi LULU in North Raleigh and Maru Sushi in Cary, both which were sold to others, and Yoo owns a catering company.
The restaurant, which will have 40 seats and about 10 seats at the bar, will serve lunch and dinner.
“We are trying to focus on serving good quality seafood for reasonable prices,” Chang said.
It is located at 315 Blake Street, a couple doors down from Cafe Lucarne.
