Here are details of two upcoming fundraising dinners to support good causes:
▪ The Raleigh chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is hosting its 20th annual gala, An Evening with Master Chefs, at 5 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Carolina Club in Raleigh.
The event starts with appetizers and cocktails followed by a five-coure meal with wine pairings, a silent auction and live music by the Gravy Boys and Nashville recording artists Branch and Dean.
The participating chefs include: David Gaydeski of The Governor’s Mansion; Ian Sullivan of University Club in Durham; Ashleigh Sherman of the Carolina Club in Raleigh; Ryan Conklin of Rex Hospital in Raleigh and recent statewide champion of the Got to be NC Competition Dining Series; Steve Pexton, also of Rex Hospital; Christopher Prieto of Prime Barbeque; Sam Papinakis of Bleu Olive in Durham; and Pedro Villisana of the Treyburn Country Club in Durham.

▪ The 6th annual Share to Care Gala is 7-11:30 p.m. Feb. 20 at the state fairgrounds in Raleigh.
Eight chefs from local retirement communities, including Galloway Ridge at Fearrington and Woodland Terrace in Cary, will be serving dishes inspired by classic Hollywood. Diners will vote for their favorite dish. Beyond food, the evening includes live music, dancing, an auction and cash bar.
The event benefits Transitions GuidingLights Caregiver Support Center, a nonprofit dedicated to helping caregivers of elderly, disabled or chronically ill adults.
The event is at Gov. W. Kerr Scott building, 1025 Blue Ridge Road, Raleigh.
