Triangle Restaurant Week’s summer event runs through June 12 and there are great dining deals to be enjoyed from Raleigh to Pittsboro.
Here’s how it works: participating restaurants offer either a three-course prix fixe lunch menu for $15 or a three-course dinner menu for $20, $25 or $30 or both.
An example of a special Triangle Restaurant Week menu is at Rey’s in Cary where they are offering a $30 dinner. For the first course, you can choose grilled chicken and sausage gumbo, New Orleans turtle soup, field greens salad or Caesar salad; Second course is either six-ounce filet mignon, Scottish salmon, Bourbon Street pork chops or French Quarter chicken with garlic mashed potatoes, sauteed mushrooms or green beans with almonds; dessert is either New Orleans bread pudding, creme brulee, New York-style cheesecake or chocolate raspberry truffle cake.
(If you’d like the recipe for Rey’s chocolate raspberry truffle cake, we have it on The Recipe site: http://therecipe.nandointeractive.com/reys-chocolate-raspberry-truffle-cake/)
