Tickets are available for Dinner in the Meadow, an annual event that raises funds to provide grants to small farmers in North Carolina.
The event is 5:30-8:30 p.m. Sept 11 at Meadow Lane Farm in Louisburg. Franklin County extension agent Martha Mobley started the nonprofit in memory of her husband and her mother. This is the third year for the fundraising dinner. Tickets cost $100 per person.
Chef, David Gaydeski, who works at the N.C. Executive Mansion, is coordinating the food. Other participating chefs include Andy Magowan of Geer Street Garden and The Boot in Durham; Chris Prieto of Prime BBQ; John Oliver Evans and Eric Rousy of Funky Fresh Food Truck in Greensboro; and Joe Lumbrazo, Justin Smith and Keith Placko of Backyard Bistro in Raleigh.
The event also includes a silent auction. One auction item is a dinner for 15 people cooked by Gaydeski and featured chefs, valued in excess of $12,000.
