When actress Cameron Diaz was about to turn 40, interviewers asked her if she was afraid.
It made Diaz realize how frightened we are of aging and prompted her to write “The Longevity Book: The Science of Aging, the Biology of Strength and the Privilege of Time” (Harper, $27.99).
This follow-up to “The Body Book” (both are written with Sandra Bark) provides an overview of the female body over time, from the first gray hairs to menopause and the increased health risks (breast cancer, Alzheimer’s, heart disease, etc.) women face as they get older.
If you’d like to win “The Longevity Book,” email email@example.com by midnight Tuesday (Oct. 11) and include your mailing address. Please put “Longevity” in the subject line to be included in the random drawing. Only the winner will be notified.
