Two Triangle men are among the 10 semifinalists in a nationwide search for health-conscious men by a national magazine.
Logan Aldridge of Raleigh and Josh Perry of Apex are semifinalists in The Ultimate Men’s Health Guy Search.
The search is a nationwide call for “a well-rounded, active, health conscious and thoughtful guy who is fit and fearless; a doer who gives back, leads by example and shows the world his true self,” according to the magazine.
The winner will appear on the November cover of Men’s Health.
Aldridge is a professional CrossFit athlete, coach and Guinness World Record holder for most one-arm, one-leg pushups in a minute by a man. Aldridge won the record in February when he completed 26 of the pushups in 60 seconds at a Reebok Nano 7 training shoe launch in Brooklyn.
Aldridge’s left (dominant) arm was amputated after a wakeboarding accident when he was 13, but despite emotional and physical challenges, Aldridge says he is committed to his personal fitness and how he improves the lives of others.
Perry has been battling brain tumors since 2010, including two recently discovered. A professional BMX athlete, he founded the Josh Perry Foundation, supporting children with brain tumors, injuries and disorders.
