The 3rd annual Crank for a Cause Stationary Cycling Challenge happens on Saturday, May 9, at Crank Arm Brewery in Raleigh (319 W. Davie St.).
Sponsored by O2 Fitness and the Oaks and Spokes Bicycle Festival, the event will raise money for the Vs. Cancer Foundation, which funds lifesaving childhood cancer efforts, and the Triangle Spokes Group.
Participants will ride with trainers for four hours. O2 Fitness is providing 40 bikes and will be instructing an RPM 90-minute spin class during the event, to give the bikers something to do during the four hours of pedaling.
There will also be bands, food, games and other entertainment.
It costs $50 for individual riders and $125 for teams (up to 4 riders). There’s also a $25 fee if you need to use one of O2’s bikes – but all proceeds benefit Vs. Cancer.
The Crank for a Cause event takes place from 4-10 p.m.
