“Fat Cat Art: Famous Masterpieces Improved by a Ginger Cat with Attitude” (Tarcher, $14.95) is one of the funniest books to come across our desk in awhile.
The title pretty much explains it all. The book, by Svetlana Petrova and Zarathustra the Cat, takes great works of art and inserts the Rubenesque Zarathustra into those works. And improves them. The book is divided into chapters such as “Italian Renaissance,” “Dutch Still Life in the Seventeenth Century” and “European and New World Art of the Twentieth Century and Nowadays.”
We’re willing to give up our copy for one lucky reader. Just email firstname.lastname@example.org by midnight Tuesday (Dec. 29) and include your mailing address. Put “fat cat” in the subject line to be included in the giveaway.
