Feed the Need
The N&O is excited about our high profile, high impact community service project to raise money and collect food donations for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.

Feed the Need coincides at a time when the Food Bank is in great need - the summer months. The N&O's month long print campaign in April, dedicated website, special section and food drive will highlight the Food Bank's work to fight hunger. Joining us in promotional support are our broadcast partners, ABC-11 television and Curtis Media radio, with Leith Automotive, Great Clips and Harris Teeter as presenting sponsors.

Our grand finale event will occur across the Triangle region on Saturday, April 12, 2008, when volunteers from the community and The N&O will be stationed throughout the region to collect food as well as sell a special edition of The N&O. The special edition of the paper will sell for $1, with 75 cents going to the Food Bank to help fight hunger.
