Mr. Henry Turnage Mewborn, 90, died Tuesday morning May 5, 2015. A native of Greene County, he was born the son of Joshua Eugene Mewborn and Emma Gertrude Turnage. He was a member of Calvary Memorial United Methodist Church and the Radiance Lodge # 132.
His surviving family includes his daughters, Susan Mewborn Boykin and husband Robert of Wilson, Kimberly Mewborn Pope and husband Judson of Goldsboro; Grandchildren, Dillon Boykin, Abbey Pope and Margaux Pope; sister-in-law, Susan T. Mewborn of Coats; brother-in law, William B. Aycock of Chapel Hill; dear devoted friend, Margaret Deans of Goldsboro; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Mitchell Morris Mewborn.
A graveside service will be held 3 PM Thursday, May 7, at the Snow Hill Cemetery with Masonic Rites and Reverend Martin Armstrong officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 1:30 – 2:30 PM at the Calvary Memorial UMC Fellowship Hall, 109 West Greene Street, Snow Hill, NC. The family is especially grateful for the exceptional care provided by Linda Smith. They are also indebted to Dr. James Atkins and the staff of Southeastern Medical Oncology Center and the staff of Kitty Askins Hospice Center for their superb assistance and care.
