Mrs. Helen Davis Green, 91, wife of the late Jesse Woodrow Green, died Monday evening at Hock Family Pavilion.
Mrs. Green was born in Granville County to the late Britt and Selena Wheeler Davis. She relocated to Durham County as a young girl with her family. She attended both the Granville and Durham County schools. Mrs. Green was employed with the American Tobacco Company for 43 years, retiring in 1986. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Mrs. Green is survived by her daughter, Debbie G. Rogers, and her husband, Warren, of Creedmoor, NC; sons, Skip Green and his wife, Sherry of Clayton, NC, Randy Green and his wife, Kim, of Mebane, NC; sister, Winnie Norton of Durham, NC; grandchildren, Jesse Green, Hunter Green, Christian Green, Davis Green, Selena Rogers and Lauren Rogers.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her sister, Frances Keltner, and her brothers, Bernice Davis and Crawford Davis.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Howerton & Bryan Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors PRIOR to the service, from 12:00pm to 1:45 pm in the funeral home, and at other times at Helen’s home.
