Vivian Truelove Carter, 86, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. Vivian worked for the State of N.C. for many years, working in Probation. She was also a longtime member of Samaria Baptist Church and loved the Lord, her family and her church family very much. She was also a graduate of Broughton High School.
A graveside service will be held Friday, May 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Montlawn Memorial Park.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; Daylon and Martha Truelove, a brother, Robert Truelove, son, Clyde Carter, Jr. and her husband of 65 years, Clyde Carter, Sr. in 2012.
Survivors include; son Donald Carter and wife Gayle; grandchildren, Brittany Weathersbee and husband Ryan, Brooks Carter and wife Christina; great-grandchildren, Paisley Weathersbee and Camden Carter, extended family; grandson, Mackenzie Andrews, granddaughter, Haylee Andrews, extended family, Garner and Alice Gayle Andrews, Andy and Paige Andrews, Jeff and Maggie Andrews; sister-in-law Carrie Carter and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and relatives Thursday from 6:00–8:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
