Peggy Brantley Lewis went to be with Jesus on Tuesday May 12th, 2015. She was born in Wake County June 7th, 1923 to the late Bernard William and Aurelia Brantley.
After retiring from her insurance career she spent her spare time as a volunteer at WakeMed in Raleigh and with Meals-On-Wheels. She was active in the Zebulon United Methodist Church for many years where she taught Sunday School. She also enjoyed her service as a Den Mother for the Boy Scouts of America. She cared for children in her home for many years.
Surviving are her son Foster Bryant Lewis, Jr. of the home; daughter Denise Lewis Bryant of Bunn and Emma Lewis Thompson and husband David of Leeds. AL; sisters Patsy Brantley Pott and husband, William of Asheville, Rebecca Brantley Brown and husband, William of Wake Forest.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Foster Bryant Lewis, Sr.; grandson Xavier Lewis of Louisburg; brothers Dennis, Baxter, William and Toby Brantley; sister Carmen Lively, and daughter-in-law Rebecca.

Funeral service will be 3 pm Friday at Zebulon United Methodist Church. Entombment at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
