John Peter Tyson, 65 passed unexpectedly in his home. He was born in Staten Island, NY to Walter and Lorraine Tyson and a graduate of Curtis High School. John worked on the Wall Street trading floor for several years before receiving a B.S. in Agribusiness at State University of New York at Cobleskill. John met the love of his life, Sandi, in 1974 and they were married on July 27, 1979. He and his family moved to Cary, NC in 1994. A home improvements contractor and small business owner of more than 30 years, he was a proud craftsman of his trade. His free time was spent on his love of photography and gardening. Friends and family always knew him to have his camera with him everywhere he went. It was his artful expression to capture life as it was lived and he knew how to bring the best out of people. Volumes of photo albums are the chronicle of the people and places in his life. John is preceeded in death by his wife Sandi, father Walter, mother Lorraine, and his sister Joyce Tyson. He is survived by his son, Cory Peter Tyson and his beautiful granddaughter, Caitlyn Dawn Tyson, who was his greatest photgraphic subject, and his brother Walter Tyson III of Tennessee. Also close to John and family is Amy LeBlanc who has been like a daughter, Kelly Wyatt (husband Jonathan), and many close friends.
A memorial service will be held at Browne Wynne Funeral Home at 200 SW Maynard Rd. Cary, NC 27511 on Sunday May 24th at 2:00 p.m. He will then be headed to his final resting place next next to the love of his life, Sandi in Michigan.
