Joseph House Jr., 92, of Tarboro, formerly of Grifton, passed away on May 19, 2015. Joseph was a retired pharmacist and owner of H&H Drug Co., in Grifton for many years. He was a longtime member of Grifton 1st UM Church and currently attending Tarboro 1st UM Church.
Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Mariem; one son, Joseph “Joph” House III and one brother, Hendricks House. He is survived by his three daughters, Theressa Murphy and husband, Jim, of Franklinton, NC; Joanna Townsend and husband, Charlie, of Gastonia and Emma Lou Kitchens and husband, Michael, of Brunswick, GA. He also leaves behind two sisters, Leticia Radford and husband, Roland, of Atlanta, GA and Elizabeth Ward and husband, Bill, of Bryan, TX; five grandchildren, Jonathan and Robert Murphy and Kelly Beth, Wyatt and Mason Kitchens and five great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 1:00pm at Grifton 1st United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Grifton Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the burial at the Grifton 1st UM Church Fellowship Hall.
