Virginia May Pallister Keaton, 93, of Raleigh died Wednesday, May 27, 2015. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 14, 1922, and was the daughter of the late Bernadean and Milo Pallister, and the sister of Marion Pallister Faff.
Virginia grew up around the Detroit area and graduated from Royal Oak High School. She met the love of her life, John Keaton, Jr. after he completed Navy basic training. He was then shipped overseas for the remainder of World War ll. They married after his honorable discharge on January 19, 1946 and remained married until his death in 1998.
She was a wonderful homemaker and loving mother to John Keaton, lll (Johnnie) and Jennifer Keaton Tlusty. Jennifer and husband Tom survive her, as do nephew Michael Faff and and nieces Joanne Miller and Sharron Faff, as well as many great and great-great nieces and nephews who are all grateful for her patience and love through the years.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Brighton Gardens and the Oaks at Mayview, as well as Dr. William Dunlap for all their care of Virginia in her last years.

Funeral services will be held at The Church of the Good Shepherd, 121 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh on Saturday, May 30 at 2:00 P.M., with a reception following in the Parish Life Center. Burial will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
