He graduated from The Patterson School where he was the Captain of the Varsity Baseball Team and a member of The Patterson Ski Team. He traveled extensively with a passion, even surfing “The Bowl” in Barbados. Among his many travels, he was appointed to serve as an Ambassador to Russia one summer for the State of North Carolina.
Benjamin studied at East Carolina University where he was a brother in the Kappa Sigma Faternity. He then transferred to North Carolina State University where he graduated with a BS Degree in Animal Science. He was a Wolfpacker through and through, cheering in Section 10!
Like his father, Benjamin had a lifetime career in the Animal Health Industry, working for his dad at Veterinary Medical Supply in Raleigh. He began working in the warehouse pulling orders, was then promoted to delivery boy during the summers, and after graduating from NCSU, established his own outside sales territory, winning many awards. When his dad sold the distributorship, they, as a team, went to work for Merritt Veterinary Supplies, Inc.
Benjamin was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Knightdale. His life verse is found in 2 Timothy 4:7- I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the Crown of Righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day (June 8th).
