Eddie Lee Randolph, 84, died Tuesday July 28, 2015 at Wake Medical Center.
He was born in Wake County son of the late Beatrice Parker Randolph and Robert Lee Randolph. He was preceded in death by his wife June Randolph.
Eddie attended Broughton High School in Raleigh where he was on the Football, Basketball and Baseball teams and won several State Championships. After graduating from Broughton he joined the U.S. Air Force. After being discharged he went to work with the Raleigh Police Department where they sent him to the University of Louisville and he obtained his Law Enforcement Degree.
He retired from the Raleigh Police Department after 35 years of service at the age of 51. After retiring he and his wife traveled around the country numerous times. He was appointed Honorary Lieutenant Governor by Lieutenant Governor James C. Green in September of 1983.

Honoring his request there will not be any services for Eddie but his ashes will be scattered in the Pamlico River.
He is survived by his sons, Kenny D. Randolph of Raleigh and Craig Randolph of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.; grandchildren, Shavlik, Senna and Dexter Randolph.
