Jack Dale Cearbaugh, 83 of Raleigh, died Saturday, July 25, 2015. Born in Columbia City, Indiana, the son of Clarence Avery and Edna Olive Mettler Cearbaugh.
Brothers: Kenneth, Glen, Harvey, Arthur and Dick; sister, Carrie Cearbaugh Ruth.
Jack honorably served in the U.S. Navy from 1952-1956.
He worked in the food service industry from 1960 to 1987, primarily for ARA Services. He was Food Service Director at Wayne State University, Chrysler World Headquarters, Connecticut State College, District Manager of 23 units in two states, and Division Manager, Birmingham, Alabama and Raleigh, North Carolina. Upon leaving ARA, Jack started a hardwood floor business in 1988 and retired at age 75.
Jack is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Linda, children Gary Alan and wife Terry, and Michael Steven and wife Karen. Grandchildren are Matthew Alan, Joseph Avery and Lily Catherine Cearbaugh all of the Atlanta area.
The great tragedy of Jack's life was the death of his daughter, Gale Lynn Cearbaugh Schramm in 1993.

A memorial service will be held on October 10th at 2 pm at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church.
