John Curtis Wall was the 8th of 12 children of the late Herbert C. Wall, Sr. and Clyde Medlin Wall. Curtis was retired from the N&O Publishing Company with 44 years of service. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army and was an active member of New Hope Baptist Church as long as his health permitted. Curtis was always doing for others. Serving on the Handyman Committee of New Hope Baptist Church was one of his most cherished moments. He was always at peace on his John Deere lawnmower, always cutting the grass wherever it needed cutting. Neighbors often asked him to fix or work on things. He often told them that he did not know how to fix things but he was willing to try.
