Calvin Lamont Tidwell, 63, passed away on August 4th after a courageous 13 year battle with Multiple Myeloma. Lamont was born and raised in Dothan, Alabama and was predeceased by his parents, LaBruce and Ice Pearl Tidwell also of Dothan. He was a graduate of Dothan High School and North Carolina Wesleyan University. Lamont retired in 2013 after a distinguished career in the pharmaceutical industry. Lamont was the beloved husband of Deborah Kennerly Tidwell and a devoted Father and Grandfather to Marla Tidwell Lundborg (SSG Eric T Lundborg United States Army) of Grovetown, Georgia and their children, Nathan and Chase, Mary Glen Tidwell of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Gabrielle Elizabeth Tidwell of the home. Lamont will forever be remembered by his devoted sister and brother, Nancy Bourke and Randall Tidwell along with countless family and friends: Fran Bourke, Katie Bourke, Brian and Carrie Robles, Nancy Tidwell, Josh and Lauren Tidwell, Greg and Brooke Hoff, Matt and Claire Leffler and many others. Lamont touched the lives of many people with his courage and determination, and maintained his trademark strength all the way to the end. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, August,8th 1:00 pm at Emmanuel Episcopal Church 700 Cumberland Street, Bristol, VA 24201.
