Passenger traffic at Raleigh-Durham International Airport increased for the fourth straight month in June.
The number of arriving passengers increased 6.1 percent compared to June 2013. The number of departing passenger rose 5.8 percent.
For the first six months of the year, passengers departing RDU increased by 2.1 percent and arriving passengers were up 1.9 percent.
The airport authority attributed the increase to airlines offering more seats and the U.S. Open golf tournament, which brought a large number of visitors to the region last month.
