A Charlotte company has acquired the 6501 Weston Parkway building in Cary for $12.5 million, according to Wake County property records.
Childress Klein Properties bought the 93,351-square-foot building from the Arcon Group, the real estate arm of investment bank Goldman Sachs. Archon had acquired the building along with five other Triangle office properties from Duke Realty for $43.95 million in early 2012. The portfolio included 427,000 square feet.
Archon has now sold four of the six properites, according to property records. Its two remaining properties are at 801 Jones Franklin Road in Raleigh and 5540 Centerview Drive and Raleigh.
Duke sold the buildings as part of its strategy of increasing its industrial and medical office portfolio while reducing the number of office assets it owns.
