Openings for information technology jobs across North Carolina fell 6.1 percent in September compared to August, according to the latest jobs report from the N.C. Technology Association.
The decline contrasts with a 1.1 percent increase in August.
“While the reason for the change in direction was not clear,” the report states, “we had expected a better result.”
A total of 3,560 IT jobs were advertised in September. That’s down from 3,790 in August and from 3,730 a year ago.
