A Virginia eye care chain said Monday it has acquired Raleigh’s Eye Care Associates for an undisclosed price.
MyEyeDr. will now have more than 60 locations in North Carolina with the addition of 27 Eye Care Associates stores. Eye Care Associates was founded in 1978 and has “almost no direct geographical overlap” with MyEyeDr., the company said.
Eye Care Associates was founded by Dr. Stephen Bolick, who will remain with the combined company in an advisory capacity.
The deal was finalized Monday and had previously been approved by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.
