E-commerce technology company ChannelAdvisor announced Friday that it can now connect its business customers to the online marketplace run by United Kingdom-based Tesco, one of the world’s largest retailers.
Link Walls, vice president of product management at Channel Advisor, said in a statement that, “as Tesco’s first fully integrated partner, we are blazing new trails in the European online retail landscape.”
ChannelAdvisor provides technology that enables retailers to integrate and manage their online sales across a multitude of sales channels, including eBay, Amazon, Buy.com and Sears. Adding Tesco’s marketplace to that list means that ChannelAdvisor’s more than 2,000 manufacturing and retailing customers — including Dell, Lenovo, Ann Taylor and Jos. A. Bank Clothiers — can easily sell on its site as well.
Friday’s announcement came a day after ChannelAdvisor established a new office in Latin America and a strategic partnership with MercadoLibre, which operates Latin America’s largest e-commerce marketplace.
Last year ChannelAdvisor generated more than 20 percent of its sales outside the United States.
