PNC Bank ATMs will soon be installed in more than 480 Sheetz convenience stores in six states under an agreement announced Wednesday.

Sheetz customers who use the new ATMs, which are scheduled to be installed in January and February, won’t be charged a fee for using the PNC machines. However, customers may be charged by their own bank.

All of Sheetz’s 67 North Carolina locations, including 13 in the Triangle, are scheduled to receive PNC ATMs.

“The surcharge-free ATMs are a great benefit for all Sheetz customers and the convenience offered by the Sheetz locations further helps PNC customers to bank when and where they want,” Todd Barnhard, executive vice president of branch banking at PNC, said in a statement.
