Job postings for information technology workers across North Carolina fell in November for the fifth consecutive month, according to the latest report from the N.C. Technology Association.
A total of 3,230 job openings were posted statewide last month, a drop of 2.7 percent compared with October.
Job openings were down 9 percent compared with a year ago, and are now at a similar level as at the beginning of the year.
“Over the past two years employers have demonstrated a “camel back” of job postings where they ramp up their published needs during the first part of the year only to pull back at the end," the report noted.
Nationwide, IT job openings fell 3.7 percent in November.
