The market for information technology jobs across North Carolina rose sharply in June, marking the fourth consecutive month of improvement, according to the latest report from the N.C. Technology Association.
The 3,970 IT jobs postings advertised in June jumped 21.8 percent compared to May. Still, the June job openings were 9.6 percent lower than a year ago.
The decline in IT job postings at the outset of this year, followed by the recent upswing, is similar to last year’s pattern.
“It shows the cyclical nature of the job market,” the report notes.
IT job postings nationwide rise 0.8 percent in May.
