The N.C. Technology Association has hit the “pause” button on its monthly report on information technology jobs across the state.
The trade group has temporarily halted its report, which tallies IT jobs posted across North Carolina, to take stock of its “structure, frequency and content,” said Marc Montoro, senior director of programs and communications.
Montoro said the end result could be a “new and improved” report.
Initiate in 2008, the jobs report was temporarily halted at the end of last year.
Montoro said that over the years members have suggested “additional and different information that they’d like to see” in the jobs report.
With the association’s recent release of its report on the state of the technology industry, which also included jobs data, it seemed like a good time to get feedback on both reports, Montoro said.
The monthly IT jobs report has been compiled for NCTA by SkillPROOF, which focuses on job market research. But Montoro said it hasn’t yet been determined whether that will continue to be the case going forward.
The association hasn’t set a timetable for resuming the monthly report.
