Raleigh startup Pack Purchase has changed its name to Canopy.
The company, which aims to make it easy for consumers to purchase and schedule routine home maintenance services over the Internet, unveiled the name change Wednesday in conjunction with the announcement that it has raised new funding.
Canopy last month reported that it had obtained $1 million in new capital. It reported raising another $500,000 on Wednesday, boosting its total funding since it was founded lat year to $1.9 million.
The latest infusion of capital includes funding from the venture capital arm of the Lowe’s home improvement chain.

The company officially launched its service for Triangle consumers last month and plans to use its additional funding to expand to Charlotte, Atlanta and other markets.
Canopy was founded by Tyler Graybeal, who previously owned and ran a pressure washing business. CEO Hunt Davis, a former investment banker, signed on in January.
