Grubb Properties, which has successfully repositioned a number of Triangle office properties in recent years, has acquired a vacant two-building campus in Durham near Research Triangle Park.
The group paid $6.6 million, according to Durham County property records.
The partnership plans to renovate the campus, adding new lobbies and bathrooms and resurfacing the parking lot.

In recent years Grubb and Rubenstein Partners reposition and sold several local properties, including several buildings in Durham’s Imperial Center and the former Sony Ericsson corporate campus in RTP.
Rubenstein and Grubb paid $26 million for the Ericsson campus and later sold it for $127 million after leasing it to Lenovo.
