Durham police car rear-ended

DURHAM -- A Chapel Hill woman was charged early today with rear-ending a Durham police car at the scene of an accident on Interstate 40 near Chapel Hill Boulevard.

No one was injured in the 2 a.m. wreck.

Durham police said Officer C.G. Wolfe was outside his 2007 Ford Crown Victoria investigating the initial accident when the cruiser was struck by a 2008 Hyundai driven by Sarah Houston, 24. Houston was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
