RALEIGH -- A man remained in jail Saturday on charges of kidnapping and raping a woman in front of her two young sons over several days.
Casiano Aparicio-Juarez, 22, was charged with holding a Wilson County woman he had previously dated against her will at his residence in eastern Wake County. He was charged with one count of second-degree rape and three counts of second-degree kidnapping.
R.O. Campen, an investigator with the Wake County Sheriff's Office, said the woman told investigators she was lured to Aparicio-Juarez's residence last weekend to get some money she was owed for damage he'd done to her vehicle. When she arrived, the woman said, Aparicio-Juarez took her keys and insisted she stay. The date of the offense listed on the arrest warrant was Monday.
The woman was said to have been assaulted in a bedroom while her two young boys, were present in another bed in the same room. She and her children were confined for three days and terrorized, warrants say.
Aparicio-Juarez was arrested at his residence late Friday by sheriff's investigators. He is being held in Wake County Jail with his bail set at $275,000.
