RALEIGH - A teenager flung herself out of a moving vehicle Monday night to escape her boyfriend, who has been accused of raping and strangling her, according to a search warrant made public today.Quinton Dante English, 17, of 2112 Auburn Road was charged Tuesday with second-degree rape, first-degree kidnapping, assault by strangulation and assault inflicting serious injury.In a search warrant made public this morning at the Wake Clerk of Court's Office, Wake sheriff's deputies say the teen told them she went to English's home and got into an argument with him. The teen told the investigators that English then knocked her down and raped her.She said that English beat and strangled her, then forced her into her own vehicle. She said he drove around while beating her with a cane. She jumped from the moving vehicle, but English stopped, got out of the vehicle and attacked her again, the teen said.The search warrant did not indicate the kind of motor vehicle, how fast it was going or where it was when she jumped. Phyllis Stephens, spokeswoman for Sheriff Donnie Harrison, said the details are part of an ongoing investigation.The teen told investigators she managed to get control of the vehicle and drove to her grandmother's home and then to WakeMed's Raleigh Campus.Sheriff's deputies who went to the hospital saw "numerous abrasions and contusions" on her knees, shoulders, throat and face, the search warrant stated.Arrest warrants did not identify the teen. It is the general policy of The News & Observer not to publish the names of those who report sexual assault.Sheriff's deputies searched English's home Tuesday. They seized a black plastic cell phone cover, two cell phones and a handgun.English remained in the Wake County jail this morning in lieu of $255,000 bail.
