Raleigh police investigate shooting death

Raleigh police are investigating a homicide that took place at a West Raleigh apartment complex early this morning.

Jesse George Brunner was found shot to death at the Spanish Trace apartments off Dixie Trail at about 12:45 a.m., according to police. They say Brunner, 26, was known to many by his nickname, "White Bread."

Police have released no details about the crime, other than to say Brunner's body was found outside.

Police have made no arrests, but are asking anyone who saw any suspicious people or vehicles in the area between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to call 890-3555 or CrimeStoppers at 226-CRIME.
