RALEIGH - Investigators think someone deliberately set a fire that damaged a home at 3718 Rivermist Drive in Southeast Raleigh early today.

No one has been arrested, and there were no injuries, said Lt. Tim Wilson of the Raleigh Fire Department. Police are investigating, he said.

A resident of the home, south of Rock Quarry Road, called 911 shortly after midnight when she saw a glow in the backyard, Wilson said.

The fire started outside the 2-story structure, Wilson said. Investigators sent samples of debris and pine straw to the SBI lab to determine whether an accelerant was involved.

Five members of a family were in the home at the time, he said.
